FULL TIME PERMANENT POSITION - The Wirral.
We are seeking drivers to join our team following recent permanent placements.
Tramping Monday to Friday - Very Occasional Weekend work may be required
This is a 14 week Temp to Perm opportunity should it suit both the driver and client. Starting ASAP
New Passes considered subject to passing driver's assessment and previous experience such as coach driving or Class 2 Driving is a bonus!
However, a sound understanding of TACHO rules is a must!
Key Responsibilities:
👑 Safely operate HGVs to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
👑 Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
👑 Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
👑 Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel consumption, and deliveries.
👑 Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and driving best practices to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users, and the cargo being transported.
👑 Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
👑Valid HGV driving license.
👑CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
👑Previous experience as an HGV driver preferred.
👑Good knowledge of road networks and geography.
👑Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
👑Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
👑Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
👑Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight stays as required.
👑 Ideally, you'll be over 25 and have a minimum 6 months experience driving HGV's, But we will consider otherwise subject to passing drivers assessment.
