We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Management Accountant to join our dynamic team on a stunning Anglesey Estate. As the financial right-hand to the Estate Manager, you will oversee a diverse array of income streams and provide accurate, real-time financial information to support strategic decisions. Our estate features a rich mix of:
In-hand and let farms
A large residential and holiday let portfolio
A coastal caravan park and other coastal assets
A commercial portfolio of let quarries and solar farms
Sporting assets, including a motor racing circuit
A property maintenance business
Historic listed buildings
👑 Key Aspects of the Role
Lead and mentor the Assistant Accountant
Manage VAT, including VAT Partial Exemption
Handle inter-company reconciliations and other Group activities
Produce management accounts for multiple entities
Set and monitor budgets for diverse operations
👑 Responsibilities
Gain a deep understanding of the Group’s varied businesses on Anglesey, including their activities, ownership, strategies, targets, income streams, costs, cash flow, and taxation
Play a pivotal role in influencing decisions and shaping the business strategy
Serve as the liaison between Estate operations and the central finance team
👑 Key Regular Tasks
Prepare comprehensive management accounts and board reports
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cashflows
Conduct reconciliations and manage VAT returns
Prepare year-end working papers
Engage in regular reviews with the Estate and Finance teams
Ensure accurate data management with the Estate team, providing thorough analysis and reports
Advise the Estate team on VAT, property tax, and capital tax matters
👑 Requirements
Proven experience in financial accounting and management
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft 365 apps
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes
Familiarity with financial services and regulations
Excellent analytical skills for financial analysis and reporting
Ability to mentor and guide junior staff

👑Employment Package
Salary: c. £35-40k DOE
Pension: 6% employer contribution with 3% employee contribution
Holiday: 22 days plus bank holidays
