Job Title: Class 1 Tipper Driver
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Salary: £41,600 FTE
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
Contract Type: 14-week Temp-to-Perm (with opportunity for a permanent position after 14 weeks)
Start Date: Monday, 18th
About the Role:
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Class 1 Tipper Drivers to join our team based in Ellesmere Port. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers interested in a reliable, structured shift pattern with the potential for a permanent position after 14 weeks. You will begin working through an agency for 14 weeks, after which—should both you and the client be satisfied—a permanent contract will be offered.
We are looking for both day and night drivers who are available to start on Monday, the 18th. Tipper experience is beneficial but not required, as we welcome skilled drivers who are eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class 1 vehicles, transporting loads on scheduled routes.
Ensure timely and secure delivery of goods.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and adhere to all traffic and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
Tipper experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for drivers new to tipper operations.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to following best practices on the road.
Excellent time management skills and reliability.
Ability to work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, including both day and night shifts.
